Richard Eurich [1903-1992] – Biography
He was born in Bradford in 1903 and studied at St.George’s School in Harpenden, Bradford Grammar School and the Slade School of Art. During his first one-man show at the Goupil Gallery he met the artist Christopher Wood who became a big influence in his artistic career.
Eurich became a War artist to the Admiralty during the Second World War with many of his war paintings in public collections. After the war he taught at the Camberwell School of Art.
He lived in Dibden Purlieu, near Southampton in Hampshire where he continued to paint the Solent and New Forest.

He painted war scenes, Dorset coast, Solent, New Forest, landscape and coastal scenes.
