About C.R.W. Nevinson & the Art Market
Christopher Richard Wynne Nevinson (1889–1946) is regarded as one of the most important British Modern artists of the early 20th century, particularly known for his wartime imagery, industrial subjects, and dynamic composition. His works are actively collected and valued in both dealer and secondary markets.
CRW Nevinson studied at the Slade School of Art with Stanley Spencer and Mark Gertler. During the WWI CRW Nevinson joined the Friend’s Ambulance Unit tending to wounded soldiers. Nevinson then went on to join the Royal Army Medical Corps.
