Edward Wesson [1910-1983] – Biography
Edward wesson painted in oils, water-colour and pen and wash. He painted landscape, marine, cityscapes including London, figures and landmarks. He was an admirer of, and influenced by Boudin.
He developed a style of loose watercolour’s and also ink pen and wash. Later in his career he taught his method to students around the country along with demonstrations. We hear stories of Wesson selling demonstration watercolours to the lady in the front row for £20!
Edward Wesson has work on show at the London Guildhall, National Maritime Museum and Maidstone Municipal Gallery.
Edward wesson produced artwork for Railway and Commercial Posters for including British Railways. His illustrated appear in many art books
