Wyndham Lewis (1882-1957) was a British artist, writer, and philosopher. He is best known for his contributions to Vorticism, a short-lived but influential art movement of the early 20th century. Wyndham Lewis edited the Blast magazine for the Vorticists movement. His artistic style is characterised by geometric forms, bold colours, and a focus on abstraction and he was a key figure in the development of Cubism and Futurism in Britain. Lewis’s works include paintings, sculptures, and prints, often incorporating found objects and collage techniques. Lewis was also an influential writer and critic, publishing numerous essays and books on art and politics.
