Rowland Langmaid [1897-1956] – Biography
Born in Vancouver to a Navy family he became a war artist and marine painter and etcher. He was a pupil of the well known marine artist W.L. Wyllie and also studied at the Royal Academy School and the Royal College of Art. Langmaid served in the Royal Navy and attained the rank of Lt. Commander. He lived in London and died in 1956 in Spain.
