George Hammond Steel [1900-1960] – Biography 

He was born in Sheffield, and studied at the Sheffield School of Art and later in London and Birmingham. He was the son of the artist G.T.Steel who also designed stained glass windows.

He painted the coastlines and harbours of Cornwall and East Anglia.
